This recipe on Facebook caught my interest. It had a demo video attached to it! I quickly wrote the recipe on a piece of scrap paper - and picked up the ingredients next time I went grocery shopping.
Honestly, I believe this is the easiest meal I've ever prepared and it was a genuine hit with my guests. I just have to share it with you (sorry, I didn't snap a photo).
Here goes......
EASY PASTA DISH
Manicotti pasta shells
Spaghetti sauce (I used Ragu traditional sauce)
1 cup water
1 cup diced onions
Garlic powder
Italian seasoning
1/2poundground Italian sausage (cooked/drained)
String cheese
Mozzarella cheese
Parmesan cheese
Italian cheese mix
Directions:
Prepare the baking dish (pan) by greasing
Place a piece of string cheese into each pasta shell and place in the baking pan
Pour spaghetti sauce over all
Pour water around the edges (the water helps cook the pasta
Top with diced onions
Sprinkle with garlic powder
Sprinkle with Italian seasoning
Top with the cooked/drained Italian sausage
Cover and cook in a 350-degree oven for 30 minutes
Remove from oven
Sprinkle with a little Parmesan cheese
Cover with the Italian cheese and Mozzarella cheese
Return to oven and bake another 10-15 minutes (until cheese is melted)
Now! How easy is that? Just put everything in the pan and bake! No fuss, no mess!
I hope you can try this recipe; I just know you will love it!
