HEALTHY SNACK - GRANOLA

This is a perfect snack to have handy to help avoid eating sweets! It is much healthier than sweets and you’ll feel better about yourself when you avoid the high carbs. Nuts are totally good for us.

I found this recipe on Facebook and I’m glad I did!

This is a perfect snack to serve at Mahjongg games. It is also great to munch on while playing other games.

The only difficult thing about the recipe was gathering all the nuts (pun intended 😊).

Ingredients:

1/3 cup coconut oil melted 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 tsp. vanilla liquid stevia 1/2 cup almonds ½ cup walnuts ½ cup pecans ½ cup macadamia nuts 1 cup sunflower seed 1 cup pumpkin seed ½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut ½ cup sweetener 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 tsp. salt

Instructions:

(Slow Cooker Method) Heat slow cooker on low and add coconut oil and allow to melt Once melted, add vanilla and stevia Stir well then add nuts, seeds and coconut Stir the granola mixture well – make sure all is coated Whisk sweetener, cinnamon and salt together then sprinkle over the nut/seed mixture Cover and cook on low 2 hours – or until they appear browned and toasted (Stir every 30 minutes) Pour and spread onto a baking pan to cool

Store in air tight container (I keep mine refrigerated)

This serving dish is so very special to me... it was my Grandmother Christina Bostwick's. I honestly haven't used it very many times; I've been afraid it may get broken...but finally I am now realizing it is to be used to truly enjoy it.

Totally easy delicious pasta for dinner

This recipe on Facebook caught my interest. It had a demo video attached to it! I quickly wrote the recipe on a piece of scrap paper - and picked up the ingredients next time I went grocery shopping.
